Abstract

Due to the quarantine established by the COVID-19 pandemic, many people have adopted a sedentary lifestyle where there is no habit of doing physical activity; part of this is due to a lack of motivation and knowledge of physical training. The objective of this work was to evaluate the user’s usability based on the database stored with the development of a mobile application to improve the management of physical training. The mobile application was developed in Android Studio with the UML methodology, and MySQL was used for the creation and management of the database. The results obtained are a 9% increase in the habit of exercising by the user who used the application. In addition, the percentage of users who exercise once or more a week increased from 61% to 77%. The percentage of users who use mobile applications in their exercises and personal training increased by 8% and the lack of motivation for doing physical training exercises decreased from 25% to 9% after using the Health Fit mobile application. It is concluded that the mobile application has a favorable impact on the management of physical training, likewise, increases the use of applications, motivates, and helps to acquire physical exercise habits in the user who uses it.
