Abstract
The pandemic represented a challenge for higher education institutions, not only for the teaching–learning process but also for academic management and internal and external communication mechanisms. This study analysed the problem of monitoring academic activities and communication in a university environment. The research was quantitative, a questionnaire applied to those responsible for academic management was used. Being the objective, to propose the integration of technological tools to improve communication (both internal and external) and the monitoring of academic activities in a university environment in the e-learning modality. It was possible to develop a computer system that integrated technologies: virtual campus, virtual classrooms, and collaborative and communication tools, which allowed improving the monitoring of academic activities and the evaluation of teaching performance, and through communication, improving the work environment, dissemination of academic/research results and improve the institutional image.
