This article presents the proposal of a methodology for the creation of path search systems. The methodology has been based on the theory of information systems development processes with a sequential, integrative and systemic approach establishing four phases: Analysis, Design, Construction and testing. The most notable characteristics of the methodology are the incorporation of activities that involve the creation and mapping of the plane, solving the problems of locating the artificial agent in virtual environments. Finally, the methodology is detailed, describing its components and deliverable products in every phase.
