Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to analyze students and professors’ perceptions of teaching methods and assessment in the Onlife Educational Model. The Onlife Educational Model in the context of digital culture and hyperconnectivity, integrates face-to-face, blended, and online delivery methods in university education. This entails profound changes in curricula, methods, and assessments. The participants total 2670 students and 536 faculty members from a university, distributed among its nine colleges and 26 of its academic programs. Two questionnaires are applied, assessed for their reliability and validity. The results show a positive correlation regarding the coexistence of both traditional and interactive methods for the development of competencies in students. The correlation is similar to that of learning assessments. It is concluded that there is a gradual change from traditional assessment instruments to those required by the Onlife Educational Model.
